Service Description: Deluxe Detail specializes in providing professional automotive detailing services, including: New Car Protection Packages, New Car Ceramic Coatings (Paint Protection), New Car PPF (Paint Protection Film) Installation and Window Tinting

Appointment Scheduling: Customers must schedule appointments in advance and pay a deposit to secure the booking.  This can be paid with credit/debit card via a payment link messaged to the customer or via bank deposit (please note payment terms below). Deposits paid will be subtracted from final invoice total. Walk-in appointments are not available due to high demand and limited availability.

Cancellation Policy: Customers must provide at 48 hours notice for any cancellations/rescheduling. Failure to do so incurs a cancellation fee (50% of deposit taken).

Payment Terms: We accept debit/credit cards (with a 1.2% merchant fee attached) or bank deposit (funds must be cleared prior to vehicle pick up). Cash payments can be arranged with prior notice (no change kept on-site).  Payment for services rendered is due upon completion. We reserve the right to hold the vehicle until payment is received in full.

Service Duration: The duration of each service may vary based on the selected package and vehicle condition. Customers will receive an estimated completion time upon booking, subject to weather conditions. In the event of wet weather, Deluxe Detail may request to hold the vehicle an additional night to protect the coating during its initial curing process.

Vehicle Condition: Customers must disclose any pre-existing damage or issues with their vehicle before service. Deluxe Detail's pricing assumes receipt of the vehicle in as-new condition. Additional detailing charges may apply for excessively soiled or dirty vehicles. Clear communication regarding the vehicle's condition ensures an accurate quote and efficient detailing process.

Customer Responsibilities: Customers are responsible for removing all personal belongings from their vehicle before service. Deluxe Detail is not liable for any lost or damaged items left in the vehicle.

PAINT PROTECTION FILM (PPF) INSTALLATION TERMS & CONDITIONS

Thank you for choosing Deluxe Detail Pty Ltd for your Paint Protection Film (PPF) installation. Our goal is to provide you with high-quality protection for your vehicle while ensuring realistic expectations regarding the performance and limitations of PPF. Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before proceeding with your installation.

1. PPF is Protection, Not Perfection

PPF is designed to protect your vehicle’s paint from stone chips, minor abrasions, and environmental contaminants. However, it is not a substitute for a flawless factory or professionally corrected paint finish. While every effort is made to install the film seamlessly, minor imperfections are inevitable and should be expected in accordance with industry standards.

  • Industry standards allow for some degree of minor imperfections, such as slight edge visibility, tiny specks of dust, and minor stretch marks, which do not affect the protective properties of the film.
  • The film will enhance the finish of the vehicle, but it cannot correct pre-existing paint defects such as swirls, scratches, or rock chips.

2. Wrapped Edges & Installation Limitations

  • Where possible, edges will be wrapped for a seamless look. However, some areas may not be fully wrapped due to film limitations, extreme curvature, or manufacturer tolerances.
  • Complex body panels may require visible relief cuts to ensure proper application and to avoid lifting or peeling.
  • Some installations may require seams or overlays, which will be positioned as discreetly as possible but may still be visible in certain areas.

3. Matte PPF Considerations

  • Matte PPF is designed to provide a satin or flat finish to protect factory matte paint or give a standard paint finish a matte look.
  • Unlike a full-color vinyl wrap, matte PPF does not provide a complete color change but instead protects the existing finish.
  • Due to the nature of matte film, some minor gaps or exposed areas may be visible where the film cannot be fully wrapped, such as sharp curves, tight recesses, or extreme angles.
  • Matte PPF requires special care, as it is more prone to showing oils and fingerprints compared to gloss films. Cleaning with matte-specific products is highly recommended to maintain its uniform appearance.

4. Curing & Post-Installation Care

  • PPF requires a curing period of 2-3 weeks depending on weather conditions. During this period, small bubbles or hazing may appear but will dissipate as the film fully adheres to the surface.
  • Do not wash the vehicle for at least 7 days after installation.
  • Avoid touching or pressing on the edges of the film, as this can cause lifting or premature failure.

5. Four-Week Health Check-Up

  • We request that your vehicle be returned four weeks after installation for a complimentary PPF health check.
  • This visit allows us to inspect the film, ensure all edges have properly settled, and make any necessary trims or adjustments.
  • If any sections require replacement due to lifting or defects, they will be addressed at this time.
  • This step is crucial to ensure the longevity of the installation and maintain the film's integrity.

6. Self-Healing Properties & Durability

  • Most high-quality PPFs feature self-healing properties, meaning that minor scratches and swirl marks will disappear when exposed to heat (sunlight or warm water).
  • While PPF provides excellent protection against stone chips and road debris, it is not indestructible. Large impacts can still cause damage to both the film and the underlying paint.

7. Maintenance & Warranty Conditions

  • Regular maintenance is essential for the longevity of the film. We recommend hand washing with a pH-neutral shampoo and using a ceramic spray sealant for added hydrophobic properties.
  • Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, and automatic car washes, as they can degrade the film over time.
  • Do not use a pressure washer at a short distance, as the pressure can cause the edges to lift. Instead, stand back and spray from a greater distance to safely rinse the vehicle.
  • The manufacturer’s warranty covers material defects, such as yellowing, cracking, or delamination, but does not cover damage caused by improper care, accidents, or external factors.

8. Removal & Replacement

  • If PPF needs to be removed, it should be done by a professional to avoid potential paint damage.
  • We are not responsible for paint defects that are uncovered when PPF is removed, such as repainted panels, weak clear coats, or pre-existing damage.

9. Customer Acknowledgment & Agreement

By proceeding with the PPF installation, you acknowledge that:

  • You have read and understand the limitations of PPF.
  • You understand that some visible edges, seams, and minor imperfections are part of the installation process.
  • You will follow the recommended maintenance guidelines to preserve the film’s integrity.

You accept that PPF is designed for protection, not perfection, and that its primary function is to absorb damage rather than eliminate it completely.
