Terms & Conditions of service.

By scheduling an appointment with Deluxe Detail, the customer agrees to adhere to these terms and conditions. For any questions or concerns, please contact us before your appointment.

Service & appointments

Service description. Deluxe Detail specialises in professional automotive detailing services, including New Car Protection packages, ceramic coatings, paint protection film installation and window tinting.

Appointment scheduling. Customers must schedule appointments in advance and pay a deposit to secure the booking, by card via a payment link or by bank deposit (see payment terms). Deposits are subtracted from the final invoice. Walk-in appointments are not available due to high demand and limited availability.

Cancellation policy. Customers must provide at least 48 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule. Failure to do so incurs a cancellation fee of 50% of the deposit taken.

Payment terms. We accept debit and credit cards (with a 1.2% merchant fee) or bank deposit (funds must be cleared prior to vehicle pick up). Cash can be arranged with prior notice (no change kept on site). Payment is due on completion, and we reserve the right to hold the vehicle until payment is received in full.

Service duration. Duration varies by package and vehicle condition. You will receive an estimated completion time on booking, subject to weather. In wet weather we may request to hold the vehicle an additional night to protect the coating during its initial curing process.

Vehicle condition. Customers must disclose any pre-existing damage before service. Pricing assumes the vehicle is received in as-new condition, and additional charges may apply for excessively soiled vehicles.

Customer responsibilities. Please remove all personal belongings before service. Deluxe Detail is not liable for lost or damaged items left in the vehicle.

Satisfaction guarantee. If you are dissatisfied for any reason, notify us within 48 hours of completion and we will address your concerns promptly.

Liability. Deluxe Detail is not liable for damage from pre-existing conditions, misuse or negligence. Our liability is limited to the value of the provided service, and we bear no responsibility for vehicles parked outside our shop in the car park, regardless of operating hours.

Privacy. Personal information is used solely for service provision and appointment management, and is not shared with third parties without consent except as required by law. Dash cams or surveillance systems may be disconnected for staff privacy.

Modification of terms. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time, with notice via email or direct communication.

Governing law. These terms are governed by Australian law. Disputes will be resolved through arbitration or mediation.

Paint Protection Film (PPF) installation terms

Thank you for choosing Deluxe Detail Pty Ltd for your PPF installation. Our goal is high-quality protection with realistic expectations regarding the performance and limitations of PPF. Please read carefully before proceeding.

1. PPF is protection, not perfection

PPF protects against stone chips, minor abrasions and contaminants, but is not a substitute for a flawless paint finish. Minor imperfections are inevitable and expected in line with industry standards.

• Industry standards allow some minor imperfections such as slight edge visibility, tiny specks of dust and minor stretch marks, which do not affect the protective properties of the film.
• The film enhances the finish but cannot correct pre-existing defects such as swirls, scratches or rock chips.

2. Wrapped edges & installation limitations

• Where possible edges are wrapped for a seamless look, but some areas may not fully wrap due to film limitations, extreme curvature or manufacturer tolerances.
• Complex panels may require visible relief cuts to avoid lifting or peeling.
• Some installs require seams or overlays, positioned as discreetly as possible but possibly still visible.

3. Matte PPF considerations

• Matte PPF provides a satin finish to protect matte paint or give a standard finish a matte look. It does not change colour like a vinyl wrap.
• Some minor gaps or exposed areas may be visible on sharp curves, tight recesses or extreme angles.
• Matte film shows oils and fingerprints more readily; matte-specific cleaning products are recommended.

4. Curing & post-installation care

• PPF requires a curing period of 2 to 3 weeks depending on weather. Small bubbles or hazing may appear and will dissipate as the film adheres.
• Do not wash the vehicle for at least 7 days after installation.
• Avoid touching or pressing on the edges, which can cause lifting or premature failure.

5. Four-week health check-up

• We request the vehicle be returned four weeks after installation for a complimentary PPF health check.
• This lets us inspect the film, ensure edges have settled and make any necessary trims or adjustments.
• Any sections requiring replacement due to lifting or defects will be addressed at this time.

6. Self-healing & durability

• Most high-quality PPF self-heals minor scratches and swirls when exposed to heat from sunlight or warm water.
• PPF is not indestructible; large impacts can still damage the film and underlying paint.

7. Maintenance & warranty

• Hand wash with a pH-neutral shampoo and use a ceramic spray sealant for added hydrophobic properties.
• Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals and automatic car washes. Do not use a pressure washer at close range, as it can lift the edges.
• The manufacturer’s warranty covers material defects such as yellowing, cracking or delamination, but not damage from improper care, accidents or external factors.

8. Removal & replacement

• PPF removal should be done by a professional to avoid paint damage.
• We are not responsible for paint defects uncovered on removal, such as repainted panels, weak clear coats or pre-existing damage.

9. Customer acknowledgment

By proceeding with installation you acknowledge that you understand the limitations of PPF, that some visible edges, seams and minor imperfections are part of the process, and that you will follow the recommended maintenance guidelines. PPF is designed for protection, not perfection, and its primary function is to absorb damage rather than eliminate it completely.
